Tina and Dave Primmer

We have both spent our working lives in horticulture in one way or another - nurseries , garden centres and landscape gardening. Dave went to Oaklands and  the Welsh College of Horticulture.

Tina now spends most of the time looking after the garden and our visitors, whilst Dave runs a small garden maintenance business on the Roseland.

We moved to Poppy Cottage in 1998 to a derelict plot 12ft wide and 200ft long full of old sheds and rubbish. 'What can we do with with this' we said to each other. The first job was to clear the site and see just what we had. We designed the garden to give us as much colour and interest all year round and were very happy with what we had done.

But in 2003 the opportunity arose to purchase some of the field next door, 'wow! what can we do with this'? So we set about combining the old to the new which is some 3ft higher, and planting with all the plants we had always hankered  after. Well, we have succeeded in the first part but all the plants !!! One day, maybe!!!
